How to Use or Not Use Images on Your Site

$

0

We have all heard the saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. In some cases that could very well be true. Graphics and images can bring your site to life, grabbing your visitors’ attention and achieving the desired conversion results. Images can add drama, excitement, truth and more to your site to make time spent on your site an experience to remember.

Studies show that one well-placed image can raise your conversion rate by as much as 25%! But despite all the amazing results images can achieve, if used incorrectly, they can also have the reverse effect.

Look over the ten tips below to see what you can do and what you shouldn’t do to change the overall effect of the graphics and images on your site.

1. Use Images to Bring out Emotion – People are ruled by their emotions. Using pictures to help bring out these emotions can be very successful. Place images on your site that will bring out the positive of what you have to offer. If you sell home décor, don’t just show pictures of the products. Show someone happily and proudly showing off her home with your décor to her friends. Getting your prospects to feel good is a major part of making the sale!

2. Placement is Key – People will scan your webpage in a very specific way. Our eyes tend to follow a clear pattern. Placing images in key spots in this pattern will often get more results. To start with, you will want a professional quality banner placed at the top of your page. This will draw your visitors’ into your site for further scrutiny. Amidst your body copy, place images where they will enhance the information you are offering. Do not place your images randomly all over your site. This could easily distract and confuse your readers.

3. Use Quality, Professional Images – Be sure your images are not blurry or hard to see. Don’t use flashy, loud or obnoxious images. You want the images to be simple and color compatible to your site. You want the images to bring out your content, not distract from it.

4. Do Not Use Clipart – Although there is a lot of free clipart available, it is not always a good choice. Clipart is very childish looking and cartoonish. Of course, there are sites that clipart would work well for, so by all means then use it. But if you need something to send a more powerful message, clipart is not the answer.

5. Slow Loading Pages – One of the most annoying things we can experience is a webpage that takes too long to load. People will more than likely not wait any longer than 5 – 10 seconds for a webpage to load. With this in mind, you want to make sure you do not use too many images or slow-loading images that will cause your readers to leave. This is one case where less is more!

6. Alternative Text or Tags – Alternative text or tags are also known as alt tags or alt text. This is done by adding text into the html code of the image. You want to do this because the search engine spiders cannot read images so you need to add keywords and descriptive text to achieve SEO from the image. For example: If you sell jewelry and post an image of a diamond ring on your site, the search engine spiders will not recognize the image as a diamond ring. So, you just need to add a bit of alt text like so alt=”diamond ring” to your html code for the image. This will enable the spiders to read the image thus increasing your SEO.

7. Branding – Branding is when your company is immediately recognized by just an image or phrase. This is important because it gets people to connect with you and your company and it builds your reputation. For example: When you see a little white apple with a bite taken out of it, what company comes to mind? Simple graphics and images can do a lot for your business. Many companies will also use images to create a mascot to brand their business. Mascots can bring personality and life to your business while making it more memorable. We all know what company comes to mind when we see a little green gecko or a dancing peanut. This can happen for your business and reputation as well.

8. Website Related – One thing you want to make sure you do not do is throw up a bunch of pictures because they are pretty and look good. You don’t want to use images as decorations. The images you use must be related to your site and the content you provide. Don’t use images as you would knick knacks in your house – they will just clutter up your site.

9. Rotating Images – Images that showcase products by rotating 360 degrees has been shown to increase conversion rates substantially.

10. Be Creative – In this day and age the possibilities are endless so dig down deep into your creativity and come up with something so amazing it will take your business to new heights!

Images are one of those things that can do wonders for your business but they can also hurt your business as well. So, learn everything you can about how to use graphics and images to build your business. Test different images to see which ones increase your conversions and which ones do not. The extra work will definitely be worth it!

Conversion Rate Optimization for Web Developers

$

What’s the goal of a website? If your answer wouldn’t be agreeable to the marketing types you work with, then you need to know about conversion rate optimization (CRO) – and how it can make all the difference in a site, as well as your own career.

CRO means testing several designs – or versions of a single design – to identify hidden problems with a website that could cost business for the site owner. The simple truth is that esthetics and strategically placed visuals can make a big difference to increase conversions. So, once you know how well visitors are delivering on the business goal(s) of the site, you can figure out what to change to increase the conversion rate. A fresh set of eyes – trained in web copywriting and design – can help you interpret the analytics information, and be a valuable source of recommendations.

Of course, you can get CRO services from any number of places. You can go to a big web design firm and, after you dole out 15 grand or more, you will likely have a design that fits your online target audience.

Search engine optimization (SEO) companies do many aspects of CRO well: testing headlines, the call to action, content, images, etc. But SEO firms don’t address conversion-based web design as well as a web designer or design firm.

Testing designs for conversion should be a normal part of any web design project, if the goal is to get a response from web visitors. But testing different designs doesn’t have to be difficult (or expensive), especially for a talented and reasonably priced web developer. The problem is that most talented, reasonably priced web developers don’t have a clue about testing their designs for conversion. But they might invest in getting the proper resources in place if businesses asked for it. Where are the talented, reasonably priced web developers who engage in conversion-based design?

Working upside-down

I find that many websites are designed upside-down. That is, the site is more about what the company wants to communicate than about what the target audience is after. {Case in point: When was the last time you actually clicked – let alone read the information – on an “About Us” page? Information like that is usually tailored to the ego of the company’s leader(s).}

This kind of upside-down website focuses on getting tons of traffic so they can sell-sell-sell. . . without thinking through how their target audience perceives and interacts with the website.

If conversion is the goal of all marketing, then the key to getting the response you want from a site is to engage the target audience by building the site for and about them and what they want.

Failing to plan is planning. . .

SEO and paid search campaigns play a big part in planning for a good conversion rate, especially when content is designed specifically to engage the target audience. Otherwise, you waste a lot of costly traffic on content that doesn’t convert.

In the past, most web developers did not consider the implications of SEO during the design phase. Thankfully, that has changed, and most web designers now bring in an SEO professional. In fact, it’s rare to find a web designer who does not also attempt SEO, but that’s a discussion for another time.

But that old pattern remains because today, most web developers do not consider the implications of conversion rate optimization DURING THE DESIGN PHASE. Let me illustrate.

Many businesses get into Internet marketing like this:

• Design or upgrade the website.

• Implement Google Adwords, social media and/or SEO.

• Ask what the target market thinks.

It’s a ready-fire-aim approach to internet marketing that wastes time and resources. But there is a better way:

1. Know the target audience.

2. Design the site and develop content to tap into the target market’s motivations, following SEO best practices at each step along the way.

3. Test the site by letting your users’ natural actions help you craft the design and content that gets the best results.

4. Continue testing to gain optimal ROI.

CRO certainly isn’t difficult, but it does require on-target analysis of a site’s strengths and weaknesses (and, sometimes, the willingness to set aside egos) in order to develop a site that truly functions effectively.

For developers and designers, there’s no downside to conversion-based design. Nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain.

10 Reasons You Should Be Using Google Analytics

analytics

Owning an online business entails more than just putting up a pretty website.  Besides social media, marketing and promoting, you need to learn the inner structure of your website and how well it is accomplishing its purpose.  This means you need to know the details of what people do when they visit your site, how long they stay and which pages interest them the most.

The more you know about what people do when they visit your site, the more you can specify and analyze the details of your site and optimize its performance.  Google Analytics provides the means to attaining this very important goal.

Listed below are some of the features provided by Google Analytics and the reasons you should be utilizing them.

1. It’s Free – We have all heard the saying, “You don’t get anything for nothing”.  In this case, that is not true.  Google Analytics provides you with critical information, numbers and stats needed for you to maximize your website’s performance.

2. Customizable – With GA you can customize the information for your reports.  Using an easy drag n drop, you can set up the reports how you want to receive them for easier analyzing.

3.  Internal Site Search – This will let you know what people on your site are searching for and allow you to make any necessary changes or additions.

4. Mobile Traffic – GA will also allow you to monitor your mobile traffic.  Find out how much traffic you are getting from phones and tablets and whether or not this is growing as is the number of mobile users.

5. Preferred Pages – Find out which of your pages are visited more often and how long people stay at these pages.

6. Traffic Origins – Find out where your visitors are coming from.  This can help you to know which of your marketing campaigns are working and which social media accounts are producing the most results.  Gathering this type of information will help you streamline your marketing efforts and produce more traffic.

7. Bounce Rate – Your bounce rate is how many people land on your site for just a few seconds and then “bounce” right off again.  This can also provide you will valuable information.  See which pages get the most bounces and find out how to improve those pages for fewer bounces.

8. Event Tracking – This is another valuable feature which provides you with various info such as how many people download your ebooks or reports, which sign-up form catches the most emails, how well your ads are performing by clicks, if your videos are being watched all the way or paused or stopped, etc.

9.  Real-Time Traffic – See who is on your website right now. See where they live, how they found your site and what they are doing on your site at this moment.

10. Flow Charts – These flow charts will allow you to directly follow the path your visitors took through your site.  You will see where they went, how much time they spent on each page and where they stopped to read your content.

All this information can be used to improve your website and increase your conversions.  Analyze and scrutinize specifics and convert more visitors into buyers.  The above are just a small portion of what can be done with Google Analytics.  This is a valuable tool which can help you in all aspects of your website and your online business.   Take the time to try it and learn how to use it to your extreme advantage.

A 15 Point Checklist for More Profitable Product Pages

$

productpage

The product pages of your website are your showroom and they must be displayed properly to achieve maximum results.  This does not mean that all product pages should look alike.  There are many ways to be creative yet effective.

Many of us focus our attention on our homepage (which is also important) and then just paste up a cookie cutter product page.  Taking the time to plan and strategize your product pages is also essential.  Cart abandonment is a serious issue for online business owners but there are ways to decrease your abandonment stats.

As we go from website to website, we do not want to see clone product pages but there are aspects that should be included in all product pages.  Below is a checklist for some of these important elements that will help your product page be more profitable.

1. Product Description – Do not try to write a one size fits all product description.  Focus on your targeted buyer and write to them personally.  Be sure to include all the benefits the product provides.  Try to avoid clone phrases such as best deal in town or superior quality.  Your prospect will tend to blur over these types of statements.

2. Product Image – Your product image will be what draws the customer in.  You want to make sure the product details are clearly visible.  The image needs to be clear and sharp.  A good image will make the product come alive and bring out more of a reaction from your prospect.  Using different angle shots of the product can be effective as well.

3. Call to Action – Be sure your call to action button is vivid and clearly placed on the page.  Once your image and description do their job, you want the buy button to be right there so the customer clicks it when they are in the buying mood.  Be sure to make the button stand out from the rest of the page.  Do not let it sink into the background or melt into the rest of the page.

4. Ordering Process – Once your prospect decides to buy your product you want to give them an easy painless ordering process.  The first step of the process is the key and it is also where many prospects abandon the purchase.  You want to gather pertinent information from your customer but do not ask them for their life story.  I have abandoned many purchases because of the long time-consuming forms to be filled out.   You want your ordering process to be as few clicks as possible but you also want to assure your customer that the process is secure.  Do not require your customer to register with you.  About a third of the orders being processed are ended for just this reason.

5. Social Media – By adding your social media buttons to your product pages you are allowing people to share your products with their friends and followers.  This can substantially increase your conversions.  Make sure your social buttons are not too intrusive.  Make them highly visible but not obnoxious.

6. Shipping Information – One of my pet peeves when ordering online is not finding any shipping information.  Always provide clear information on the shipping terms and costs for your customers.  Do not make them wait until the end of the ordering process to find out what they will be paying for shipping. Be upfront and concise on all shipping fees.  Shipping fees are the number one cause of cart abandonment so being upfront and letting your prospect know exactly what they will be paying will bring this number down.

7. Size Chart – If you are selling products that require sizes be as descriptive as possible about what the sizes are and how they fit.  Size charts are a great way to do this.  Clothes of the same size can fit differently so let your prospects know how your sizes run.

8. No Distractions – Keep your product page as free of clutter as you can.  You want the page to showcase the product and call to action, not a bunch of ads from other websites or companies.  Do not have flashing banners or distracting images or videos (unless it is a video of the product).

9. Customer Reviews – When I go shopping online I now expect to see reviews.   This has become a staple part of the online shopping experience.  Be sure to add customer reviews to your product page.  Do not leave out negative reviews.  Adding the negative reviews will add to the trust your prospect feels for your company.

10. Subscription Option – Adding a subscription form or box to your product page is an excellent choice.  If people decide to buy from you, chances are they will sign up for your mailings.  Or, if they are not sure on the purchase, they may subscribe and then purchase down the road a bit.  Either way it is a win!

11. Needed Instructions – If the product needs special instructions or information on how to use or its purpose, be sure to provide all the details needed in a clear, easy to understand way.  If people are confused about a product, they will not purchase it so make sure they have all the information needed to make the decision to buy.

12. Simplicity – Keep your product pages simple yet professional.  The page must focus on the product.  Do not add any distracting backgrounds or textures.  You want the customer’s eye to go directly to the product and the information. Keep the design consistent.  Use an easy to read font.  Fancy fonts have their place but not on a product page. Make the product page and entire ordering process simple.  You do not want your customers think they need to be a rocket scientist to order from you.

13. Additional Product Options – Many sites have a feature where they showcase similar products.  If you do not exactly like the one you are viewing, other options show up for you to look at.  This is a wonderful feature that can help keep your prospect shopping on your site instead of going to another.

14. Problem Solution – Let the customer know how your product will solve their problem.  Convince the prospect that they need your product to be their solution.  If a person does not understand what your product can do for them it will not result in a sale.

15. A Little Humor – Most people will appreciate a little fun humor.  But be careful to keep it appropriate.  Adding a little humor makes the experience more human and this develops trust.  Subtle humor can do wonders but beware of using too much humor or offensive humor.

*Bonus Tip: Always have your contact information available.  If the customer has a question or concern and has to hunt for your email or phone number, they will go somewhere else.

Take the time needed to produce the most mind-blowing and stand-out product pages possible.  The time and effort will not be in vain and you will become more successful.

Latest Trends in Web Design

ghost

Halfway through 2015, one may look back on the evolution of professional web design and feel nostalgia and hope for what's coming next. Design-wise, everything is going through a continuous, fast-paced change. The difference in appearance can be striking, especially if one compares the way old websites used to look to what's presently going on in the world of web design. Although lots of innovative web design alternatives have been constantly tested, marketed and implemented, there are only a few new elements which managed to really stand the test of time.

Scrolling Is the New Clicking

Whenever you used to grab a mouse and surf the internet, your interaction with websites was mainly made up of clicking. Each time a website was opened, the attention of the user was immediately directed to the upper right side of the screen, looking for a very old-fashioned web design element called "the scrollbar". By clicking and dragging this ancient design element up and down, one could interact and go through the content of that particular page. Developers have been constantly trying to simplify the interaction between users and websites ever since. Presently, it is far easier to scroll through websites, than it is to click. On mobile devices you may even scroll using your thumb. Modern websites already have less things to click on and larger scrolling areas. As websites are turning into single scrollable pages, we will finally start to experience fewer links and richer content to scroll through.

Ghost Buttons

A huge progress was also made in the iconography department. Transparent, simpler and more esthetic buttons are taking over the web. They are most commonly called ghost buttons and they differentiate from the old trends through their transparency and fine, white outer line. This particular technique takes the focus of the visitor away from the menu and allows larger photography areas to be displayed, improving user experience.

Larger Content Areas

While headers and footers are slowly heading to extinction, content areas are getting wider and taller. The frame of a website has gradually lost the interest of audiences and designers are now focusing on content quality and larger display areas. Customized photography and maximum width images are now a must for a modern-looking webpage.

Material Design

Originally developed by Google, material design is slowly replacing flat design by combining flat design elements with animation, gradients and 3D elements for a richer user experience. Inspired by paper and ink, we will all experience a huge growth in simplicity and interaction as they become better integrated in worldwide desktop and mobile devices.

Infographics

The merger between interactivity and useful data makes any learning process more fun. Infographics became familiar in 2014 and they have been steadily growing in popularity. Instead of looking at static, informational images or text, you may now experience horizontal scrolling and interactivity of charts and hard data. Infographics are successfully used in web design to engage costumers and draw attention to the marketed product or information.

As design trends keep evolving, their interpretation by various designers may differ. Still, old web design elements continue to be integrated into modern aesthetic principles and only time will tell whether they are heading to elimination or if they continue to adapt and to evolve.

10 Primary Pages of a Profitable Website

profitablewebsite

Making a good living online can be a daunting task but certainly not impossible.  To accomplish this goal you need a strong foundation, which in this case would be a well-structured, productive website.  A website should be designed to suit your business purpose and to draw in and capture your target market.   There are many elements to consider when planning your website.

One favorable factor in building websites is that you can change any part of your website for greater effectiveness.  As websites evolve and change, you can fairly easily adapt your website to those changes.

Below is a list of some of the most important pages your website should include for maximum results and prosperity:

1. Home – Your homepage, also called the landing page, is most often where your potential customer will land when coming to your website.  You have just seconds to grab and retain that person before they decide to leave.  Your homepage needs an attention grabbing headline and compelling copy.  You want to pull-in and lead your visitor through the rest of your site.  Be clear, concise and simple.  Explain what you can do for the customer and why they should buy from you.   Be sure to include benefits.  The brain retains visual images more than text so use images and/or a video.  Make sure the customer knows exactly what to do next and show them a clear path through the buying process.  Navigation is key to reduce your bounce rate.  Never load up your homepage with banners, flash ads, and other distracting features.

2. About – The about page is where your customer will learn all about you and your business.  This is how your potential clients will get to know you.  Consumers want to buy from people they know.  Don’t be afraid to tell your story.  Let people know the person behind the website.  Adding a picture of yourself will go a long way in making people feel they can trust you.  Share your experience and expertise.  Explain what they can expect from and how they can benefit from your business.  What makes your company better than the rest?  What will the experience be like when doing business with you?  Add a link to your mailing list so they can get to know you and your business even better.  Some people will say that the customer only wants to know about your business and how it can solve their problems but in my experience they also want to know the person behind the business.

3. FAQ – A frequently asked question or FAQ page is important to your website because it can give people the information they are seeking in order to do business with you.  A well-written FAQ page can be an effective marketing tool.  Most people do not want to take the time to email and then wait for the answers.  Providing the answers now is much more effective.  Place most commonly asked questions on top and keep them flowing.  Organizing and grouping questions by category works very well.  Adding images or screenshots can add value and usability to your page.   Be sure to answer the questions from the consumer’s point of view.  Do not try to impress people with technical or difficult to understand words.

4. Product/Services – Highlighting your products and/or services is quite important.  When designing your product page keep in mind that there are certain things the customer wants to know.

What do you do or sell?
How is your product/service better than anyone else’s?
What can this product/service do for me?
How do I know for sure?

Be sure your page answers these questions.  Describe your product/service and explain the benefits.  Let them know why they should use your service or buy your product.  People need to know the benefits of purchasing from you.  Use testimonial snippets to help show and prove that you do what you say.

5. Privacy – In today’s world privacy is more important than ever.  People need to be reassured that you will not share their information and how you handle privacy issues.  Explain exactly what is done with their information.  Make it clear and easy to understand.  Put their fears to rest so they are comfortable doing business with you.  Many times just seeing the page will comfort people but you still need to provide detailed information on how their privacy is respected and protected to the fullest.

6. Testimonials/Reviews – How many of us read the reviews on Amazon or Walmart pages before purchasing the product?  I know I do and probably most of us as well.  This is why you need a testimonial/review page on your website.  People will listen to what others say about you and your products or services.  But do not limit your testimonials to this one page.  Use snippets and tidbits sprinkled throughout your site for maximum effectiveness.  But many people will be interested in seeing them grouped and easily accessible.

7. Content – “Content is King” We have all heard this many times.  Adding relevant, fresh content to your site on a regular basis will raise your rankings substantially.  Adding a blog to your site for posting quality content will keep people coming back for more info.  It also begins the bonding process to build trust with the reader which in turn will form that all-important relationship needed between buyer and seller.

8. Contact – How can you trust someone who hides their contact information?  Not letting people know how they can contact you is a sure way to get them to leave.  Make sure you give them full and complete contact information and let them know you are available to assist them in any way you can.

9. Portfolio/Accomplishments – This is an opportunity to show off your work and accomplishments.  Do not be afraid to toot your own horn.  People need to see that you know your stuff and can do what you promise to do.

10. Squeeze – Capturing potential customers’ email is the primary reason for a squeeze page.  Another phrase we have all heard many times is, “The Money is in the List”.  A good squeeze page can build you a mailing list that will be the lifeline of your sales.  Offer a quality incentive for people to sign-up for your list.  A free ebook, report, trial service, etc., are all things can help increase your conversions.  Once you have captured that email the possibilities are unlimited.  Make the opt-in process as simple as possible for the reader. People do not want to give their life story just to be on your mailing list.  Explain exactly what you are offering.  By offering quality information and making the process simple, your conversions could increase substantially.

There are many more factors involved when building a productive website but the ideas presented above should help make your website more successful!

11 Tips to Picking a Good Domain Name

$

domainname

A consistent question for new business owners and the most common misperception that persists even three years after it has been rendered irrelevant by Google is "Should I pick an SEO name for my web address?"

Some call those "Exact Match Domains," others call them SEO domain names, but after a Google update in 2012 the significance of that part of the Google algorithm is minimal. Google's EMD Update: The Numbers. By Ben Milleare. Refer below for the link.

The purpose behind these SEO domain names was obvious; they would generate a higher position in the search results. But that was then, this is now.

Keep in mind that your domain name will be more useful if you can keep it a long time and build the credibility of that site over time. It needs to represent your business on the Internet.

So, your primary concern these days is promoting your brand name. Sometimes it is possible to get a.com with your exact business name however, if your business name is too long, then a shorter version of that is probably better. The goal here is getting your potential customers to remember the name.

1. Decide if your business name is one that can compete with on the Internet. What I mean by that is you need to figure out how many other websites are trying to rank for those terms. As an example, Smith Chiropractic. As of today if you do a search on Google for "Smith Chiropractic" you get 61,100 results.

That does not necessarily mean that there are that many businesses with that name, but that is the number of results you will have to compete with. So, put quotes around your business name and see what you are up against. There is a fine line between too broad and too specific.

2. Make sure you are not violating any Copyright Laws. Unfortunately the burden is on you and you need to conduct a fairly exhaustive search. Use the search engines as well as the federal trademark database.

3. Make sure your business name represents your business model today and for years to come. If you are to have any hope of keeping your domain name consistent for years to come, your business name needs to remain the same as well. In this case keeping a little vague is probably a good idea. As an example, a small guy starts out a web design company and decides to call it Bob's Web Design. After several years of success and growth, Bob decides to add SEO, PPC, and other Internet marketing components to his business. Now he finds his name restrictive.

He could always make his name longer: Bob's super awesome Web Design, Internet marketing and God of SEO, however that might not be his best course of action. Also the domain name that Bob purchased only says bobswebdesign.com. If he were a little broader with his business name like Bob E-Marketing, then anything under that umbrella still makes sense.

4. Go shopping for a domain name. There are thousands of places to check and see what domains are available. When selecting a domain name it is probably a good idea to choose a.com primarily because that is what the general public expects. There are always exceptions to that rule. As an example: join dot me has made a good name for themselves because it is a good free service and the name is very memorable. The overriding theme here is, make it memorable and represent your business. The name does not have to be your business name, and it does not have to include your city. Here is a good tool to help you find a unique website name. 6 Website for Unique Domain Names.

5. Make sure that the name you picked will bring to mind the concept that you think it will. Here is a good tool to test that theory. Run a survey of 100 people to see what reaction you get from just your domain name. The goal here is that when someone hears your name for the first time, they should be able to guess what it is that you do. There are some exceptions to this rule however.

As an example there is a bar that has done very well by calling itself "The Gym", so that husbands can honestly tell their wives that they are going to "The Gym". Keep in mind this business does not rely much on the internet to bring it new business.

6. Make sure your name is easy to spell. Just because it is memorable not everyone is a spelling bee winner. I've always had a hard time with this one myself. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

7. Size does Matter! In this case shorter is better. You are trying to remove barriers to entry. Keep it simple.

8. Make sure your name sounds authoritative and trusted. Quality stands out.

Admittedly there is a certain amount of psychology involved here because what really makes something seem more trustworthy or credible? Normally it is a name that people are familiar with or at least it sounds familiar. That is why companies tend to spin well know names into derivatives of a familiar name in hopes that it will seem like a company they know.

9. Should I get more than one name? As a rule of thumb, don't have two competing websites. However, for print advertising you can have a different domain name for that purpose. There are a lot of new TLD's available like.construction or.music. It is probably not the best idea to use these as your primary domain name, but they are useful for print ads.

Then just point that domain over to your real domain and anyone that goes there just jumps over to your real URL. If you just can't resist the urge to have more than one website, make sure you have a different name and phone number and different content for each unique website. Normally this can be done successfully if you have different business segments that you want to promote independent of each other. Just make sure you treat them as completely separate websites. As an afterthought, it would not be a good idea to use the ".ninja" TLD because nobody will ever be able to find it.

10. Try not to use Hyphens and Numbers. When telling someone your domain name it makes it more difficult because you have to define if the number is spelled or not. Same with punctuation. This also applies to roman numerals.

11. If your business relies on a specific geography then it's not a bad idea to include something like the two letter state designation or a short version of the city in the domain name. This is especially useful if you have multiple locations and a website for each location.

So now that you have made up your mind it's time to sleep on it so you can question your decision and starts the process over again the next day.

A Must-Do Checklist for Website Maintenance

maintenance

A website or blog, like anything, needs periodical check-ups and maintenance.  You cannot build a website and expect it to run smoothly and efficiently on its own forever.  A website’s environment is constantly changing and evolving and you must ensure that your website does as well.

Not only is a properly maintained website important to attract and keep customers, consistent maintenance on your website is also important for search engine ranking.

Below is a checklist to follow each time you run maintenance on your website or blog.  We recommend you run through this checklist once a month or more often if needed.

Browser Check – Make sure your website is compatible with all browsers and devices.  This must be done regularly.  With technology always changing, you want to make sure your website still works with all the major browsers and devices.

Forms and Checkout Process – Test all your forms, newsletter sign-ups and your checkout process to make sure everything is still working properly.   Updates to plugins and software can cause these things to stop working properly.  They are major aspects of your site and need to be functioning properly at all times.

404 Errors – Make sure all your pages load with no 404 error.  If any are found redirect the link to the proper page.

Broken Links – Do the same as with the 404 errors – find any broken links and fix them or remove them.

Security Scans – Run manual and automatic security scans on your website to make sure your site is secure.  Hacking or other security problems can happen to the best of websites.  Don’t make the mistake of thinking it won’t happen to you.

Update Content – This should actually be done more often than once a month but it is an important part of your checklist.  Do not let your content get stale and unappealing.  People need fresh interesting content.  Set a schedule for regular updates and stick to it.

Site Backup – Having a backup of your site is always a good idea.  Check with your host to see if they provide backups in the event of something happening to your site.

Review Your SEO – As with most things on the internet, search engines are always changing so you need to keep your SEO updated as well.  There are many free tools to help you with this as well.

Check Loading Speed – Do a manual check of your pages to make sure they load quickly and properly.  You only get a few seconds to get the attention of a potential customer so don’t let them leave because they did not want to wait for your page to load.

Update Automation – Check to see if all your plugins, apps, etc. are updated.  Not updating regularly could cause serious problems for your website.

Information – This one can be done less frequently.  Check all your contact info, copyrights and other administrative information.  Be sure everything is current and accurate.

Google offers many tools to help you with your website maintenance.  Go to google.com/webmasters

By performing regular maintenance and check-ups on your site, you will greatly increase the likelihood of better performance, more customers and a much more efficient and successful outcome.

The Effect Color Will Have on Your Visitor

color

When designing your website, you want to use color to inspire a certain mood within your visitor. You can inspire a certain psychological response by merely leveraging the use of different colors and images. The use of color have been proven to be an outstanding leveraging tool, especially when combined with interesting and useful content.

The color red for instance will automatically inspire urgency, this is an attention-getting color and must be used in accordance. Where orange has a more adventurous and sense of affordability kind of effect. Yellow is known to inspire cheerfulness and fun, and sometimes even achievement. Green is a natural color and it will inspire thoughts of nature, and balance. The message of clarity of thought and communication can be sent by using turquoise.

Strange enough, blue inspire thoughts of honesty and trustworthiness setting the visitor at ease by subconsciously making them feel safe. Ever wondered why Facebook's Primary color is blue, just a thought that may indicate proof of color psychology. Indigo goes well with blue because it creates a sense of integrity and sincerity, it can be very convincing. But don't ever abuse these hidden tactics, always offer a solution to a common need that actually works. Don't "Trick" your visitor because that will only ensure a high refund rate.

Purple will have your visitor feel creative and inventive because it's an individual color. Magenta goes well with purple because it's a compassionate color, spiritual and practical. Naturally pink is compassionate, often representing love-making it understanding with a youthful romantic effect. White have been known to inspire the thought of simplicity, that of cleanliness. It represents order, a new beginning or slate to write on. Black is authority, inspiring thoughts of power and control. Grey is pretty much a natural color, more refined and contemporary.

Brown will have the effect of comfort on your visitor, inspiring dependability and friendliness. Then there's also what we call the more sophisticated colors like silver and gold, these are considered more superior colors. But don't go painting everything gold and silver.

Silver is a modern sophisticated color and it has a calming, even uplifting effect on your visitor. It also has some degree of mystery to it, which can work well with free give-away for instance. Much like silver, gold is often related to high value. It suggests luxury and prestige while reflecting wisdom with beauty and generosity.

Use these colors with moderation, and be objective about the kind of mood you wish to create with your website. Creating the desired psychological response is what will keep your visitor on your website. It will even ensure a returning visitor because your visitors will be more likely to book mark your website. Using color correctly is just as important as relevant content creation, if not even more so. Because when you have set the perfect mood, your content will be much more appreciated and valued by your visitor.

Color psychology is a proven tactic, used by many successful affiliate marketers. Could that perhaps be one of the reasons super affiliates rake in the high commissions?

10 Simple Strategies for Decreasing Your Bounce Rate

The bounce rate for your website is the percentage of people who visit your site and then leave without clicking to any other location.   They are single-page visitors and then they “bounce” right off your site. Creating an Amazing About Page

aboutpage

When it comes to your business, you have a group of people who are loyal customers to your business. Of course, on the other hand, there is also a group of people who will never be your customers because they just are not a good fit for you. In the middle of this, however, is a group of people who are not sure whether they want to buy what you are selling. They are on the fence. Your About page can make all of the difference. Your About page is the foundation of your website in many ways.

Lots of Competition

competition

The chances are great that you have a great deal of professional competition. That is not a bad thing at all. However, you need to have an edge that will make you stand out among your competitors. From the outside, your competitors may seem as though they offer exactly the same products and/or services that you do for less money. However, what those people don't realize is that they are not actually comparing apples to apples.

Your About page, if done correctly, will express your human side and that is exactly what your prospective customers will respond to. If they understand that you are human, they can relate to you as one human being to another and what you share with them will resonate. It is important to keep in mind that even if you have a visually stunning website (or some other aspect of your Web presence), if you don't have content that touches the other person in your About page, you may not make the kind of progress that you are hoping to make. Of course, the look and feel of your website is extremely important for your business but it is not the only thing that matters.

What Should Happen When a New Person Lands on Your About Page

newperson

When a person ends up on your About page, the concept of WIIFM (What's In It For Me?) must be crystal clear to him or her. That means that no matter how amazing you and your business are, if you can't solve the other person's problem, you won't get anywhere. Of course, you want your website to attract other people but that is second to being able to solve the other person's problems. Writing that content may be more challenging than you expected. You can convey a great deal with your About page content. This is really where you can make your human qualities shine. This is one of the main places in which you build credibility, trustworthiness, and your position as a subject-matter expert. It is where you begin a solid relationship with the other person. The content on your About page can potentially convince people who are on the fence that you are the one whom they should hire (or buy from). When considering how you want to write the content of your About page, a few important concepts should be considered.

  • The spin of the content: Going back to the concept of WIIFM, it is critical that you understand that you must address your content to the other person. The content must clearly convey that you can solve the other person's problem. You will want to write about issues that the other person may be experiencing and definitely wants to eliminate. Along with that, you will want to bring up what the desired results will be. You must communicate how you plan to help the other person achieve that. You will want to concentrate on helping the other person, not yourself. However, don't worry. Your needs will be met at the same time (or directly after you have helped the other person). If you aren't sure where (or how) to begin this process, it may be helpful for you to make a list of potential problems and then you can narrow down the list when you communicate with the other person.

  • Make sure that you name your page appropriately: This is not a place to be cute or "clever." You want to be perfectly clear about what the other person will find in your About page. The reason for that is that you want the other person to understand by the name of the page what to expect. If you are not clear with the name of the page, the other person may potentially be confused. If the other person is confused, there is a good chance that he or she will not stay on your website.

  • Share your story on your About page: Everyone has a story and you sure have one too. It isn't a matter of you not having one. It is only a matter of how you communicate that story. If your writing is effectively, the other person will react to you emotionally and they will relate to what you are saying on an emotional level. It is very important that you show your vulnerability and softness as a person. The other person will appreciate the fact that you have revealed something meaningful about yourself, knowing that it wasn't easy for you.

  • Convey why you stand out and why you are worth it: The fact is that you are trying to convince the other person to choose you and your business. In order to convince the other person to go with you, you need to clearly demonstrate why you are worth it and how you stand above your competition. You will probably have to work at that in order to get the message just right.

  • Add a professional photo: A photo (preferably, a head shot) is very important for your About page. If you want the other person to relate to as a human being, you need to let them see what you look like. After all, you need to give them a visual to connect with.

Conclusion

connect

The fact is that even though we are in a digital, technologically advanced society, the bottom line is that you need to relate to the other person in a human/emotional way in order to build your relationship together. The About page is one place where this works extremely effectively. Your About page explains who you are, the focus of your blog, and it give the other person a way to connect with you. Those are all critical to your success.

What To Do When Website Traffic Is Not Converting

$

Carl Christian Anton Christensen [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

You love your spankin' new website. You're expecting it to get you clients and make some sales.

You did the Facebook ads and PPC like you were told, and you even got a bunch of traffic (you can tell because Facebook is sending you the bill!)

But nothing else is happening… CRICKET.

You go about asking for feedback and opinions.

"People" start telling you stuff. They've good intentions, and go down some checklist of "best practices" to help you troubleshoot.

Now you're feeling deflated. You're overwhelmed with the 39 improvements and enhancements, wondering when this website project thing (now a time- and money-suck) is going to end.

Good news – it's not all doom and gloom!

doomgloom

First, congrats -you've launched the damn thing so instead of wondering if something is going to work you now have data and responses to show you how visitors actually interact with your content so you can see what works and what doesn't.

Now you have the baseline to fine-tune and course correct by looking at the right information.

"People" can theorize and talk till they turn blue. The best indication of effectiveness is "conversion."

Conversion doesn't necessary mean getting your stuff sold.

Conversion indicates how well your visitors are responding to your calls-to-action and taking the next step, whether it's clicking the buy now button, signing up to get your freebie, sharing your blog post on social media or getting in touch for a discovery session.

Instead of scrambling to tweak and change everything (and probably throwing the baby out with the bathwater,) sit down, take a chill pill and follow these 3 troubleshooting tips to keep your sanity and increase your conversion:

How to Convert Traffic
Click To Tweet

1. Who are those "people" telling you stuff?

who

Opinions are a dime a dozen. Anybody can give "advice"… you're the only one responsible for discerning what actions to take and therefore, the consequences.

If you listen to everyone who chimes in, you'll be spinning your wheels into eternity.

Before you jump to changing anything, consider who's giving the feedback…

Are those "people" your ideal clients? Or…

Are those "people" just some random dude in a Facebook group who has taken a few marketing trainings and want to be a know-it-all?

Inputs from experts are great start, but not enough.

There're many ways to achieve a certain result. If the strategies and tactics don't resonate with your values and convictions, or tap into your strengths and superpowers, you won't be able to implement them with aligned energy.

Plus, are those experts taking the time to understand YOU and your business, or are they just giving some "canned advice" that points to their products and services… like, when you're holding a hammer everything is a nail?

IMHO, there are two kinds of "people" to listen to:

(1) People in your niche (aka your ideal clients) that are actually going to buy your stuff when you're able to articulate your relevance, and

(2) "Experts" who take the time to understand your circumstances and give you thoughtful insights that don't necessary point to their products or services. The intention should be to help you diagnose the root cause of your challenges so you can hire the right person to fix the right issue.

How to Get the Right Traffic
Click To Tweet

2. What's the quality of your traffic? How are you directing the traffic?

diverted-traffic-sign

If visitors are coming to your site yet nothing else happens (which can be translated into high bounce rate in your analytics,) you may want to evaluate the quality of your traffic.

You don't want every human being who can fog a mirror to click on your FB ad – that'd make your campaign ROI really suck.

Targeting is critical, and more importantly, you've to consider the user flow to create a cohesive experience.

Your products, services and bigger message probably covers more than what you can say in one FB ad.

If you direct all your traffic to your homepage, for example, you may be creating a disconnect when visitors click through an ad to your site.

When they click on an ad, they expect to see content that directly relates to that ad. You may need to strategically direct your traffic, or even create versions of your landing page to speak to specific audience segments or campaigns.

If you're running an ad or social media campaign, consider…

1. Is it targeted to the right audience?

2. Is the message a match to those you're targeting?

3. Is the message on your website landing page (i.e. the page they land on when they click your link) congruent with the message on your ad?

Is Your CTA Effective?
Click To Tweet

3. Are your message and CTA specific?

journey

Now as you continue the narrative and follow your user's journey, consider whether the message and call-to-action (CTA) on your landing page are focused and specific.

It's tempting to put everything and the kitchen sink on a landing page or homepage. Don't.

Within the first 8 – 10 seconds, your visitors are going to decide if you've what they want, and whether to stay or not.

What's the ONE message they see that's going to show them what you've is what they want? How are you communicating your unique positioning and personality to create connection and resonance right off the bat?

Even just more than one CTA can cause confusion, and the confused mind says "no."

What's the ONE main goal of that landing page? What do you want that landing page to do for your business? Craft all the content and CTA with that ONE goal in mind.

If you're driving traffic to your homepage and multiple CTAs is necessary based on your business goals and carefully considered user experience, then make sure there's a hierarchy to those CTAs so it's apparent what you want your visitors to do.

Never serve up a platter of brain dump and ask your visitors to figure it out. They won't. They'll leave your site. Ouch.

Tips for Bouncing Back From a Google Penalty

penalty

When Penguin and Panda rolled out, many website owners were devastated as their ranks were swiftly taken away at the blink of an eye. It's an issue no business or entrepreneur wants to endure, but will if not careful.

Google is very serious about its algorithm and providing users with the best search results possible. At this point, website owners scrambled about, looking for SEO services to help their company get back into the good graces of Google.

No one was spared from these updates – not even the billion dollar corporations that faced Google penalties for whatever reasons deemed necessary. It took a long time for some businesses to get a foot hold on their rankings. The longer they suffered from low rankings, the longer their bottom line suffered.

If you found that you were affected by a Google penalty, then you can use the tips some of the best SEO services companies use to bounce back.

Understanding Penguin and Panda

In order to bounce back, you first need to understand what changes Penguin and Panda brought, so you can have an idea of how it works. This way, you can potentially avoid getting back into trouble with Google.

An Internet marketing agency can also help you better understand this:

penguin

Penguin: Better catches websites that are using spamming methods, such as purchasing links or getting links through link networks for the sole purpose of boosting their ranks in Google.

panda

Panda: Designed to filter out web pages that are low quality.

Getting Your High Ranking Back

Here is a list of quick tips you can use to get your website back on track after being penalized by Google:

  • Take a look at your search console on Google. This will have a notification if your site was tagged for web spam.

  • Take a look at your backlink profile. You can download you link report from the Google Search Console, once known as Webmasters. Check for links stemming from spammy websites and attempt to disavow them.

  • Analyze the content on your site. Make sure there's no duplicate content or pieces that were poorly written. Also, avoid using keyword stuffing.

  • Review recent Google algorithm changes to see if you are in violation of anything. Google is known to change its algorithm between 500 and 600 times annually.

You can work together with an SEO services company to analyze your site and right any wrongs that have been found. This is the quickest and most effective way to get back on the right path to business growth.

10 Essential Website Update Hacks to Help Boost Sales

$

calendar

When was the last time you updated your website?

It saddens me to say that I have many clients who have all but abandoned their website once it was launched. They either get too busy to think about it or worse, don't realize how important it is to the success of their business.

Remember your website is out there promoting you and your business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long. So if you're one of those people that never gave your website a second thought once it went live, then please keep reading.

First of all, your business website is not a static brochure.

It should be a living, breathing document that is an accurate reflection of your business. But it's easy to get caught up in the daily activities of running your business and forget to review your website regularly.

If you can't remember the last time you did a website update, let's just say you are overdue.

Here are some of the top things you need to do to update on your website to keep it running smoothly and ensuring you are not sending your visitors to your competitors:

1) Broken Link Check. If you have any kind of hyperlinks on your website, there are bound to be some that are broken. Broken Link Check is a free service that reviews your site to notify you of broken links that need fixing.

error

2) Customize Your 404 Page. Speaking of broken links, if you have a link to a page on your own site that no longer exists, it will direct visitors to what's called a 404 page.

This page is created as a default page whether you use WordPress or some other means to build your site. And it looks ugly so it's important to customize this page and make good use of it.

You can have your webmaster ensure it matches the look and feel of your website and put a custom message on there, directing people back to your home page, show how to connect with you on social media, and offer an opt-in freebie to capture the lead.

3) Fix Typos. Nothing looks more unprofessional than having typos on your web page. Often they are hard to spot yourself because we read what we think it should say instead of what is actually there.

Typosaurus is a great free tool to help you spot those pesky spelling errors and get them fixed ASAP before you turn off any more visitors. Those first impressions are powerful and count towards whether someone will buy from you or not.

Essential Website Hacks

4) Improve Navigation. Keeping website navigation simple and intuitive is important. You want customers to find all the most important information without having to hunt around and look for it.

Keep it simple: Use clear wording that your visitors will understand. And consider drop down menus to keep like pages grouped together and organized.

5) Ensure Mobile Responsiveness. If your website is not designed to display well on smart phones and smaller screens, it's costing you traffic and valuable leads.

Many potential customers do their searching on their devices in between appointments, while watching TV, and pretty much all the time. We are often asked to convert older websites into being mobile friendly (or it is often time for a whole new look and feel) so the same could be done for your site too.

If you haven't checked and ensured your website is mobile friendly yet, put it at the top of your to do list! Every day you don't, it's costing you sales.

6) Update the Staff Page. Turnover happens so it's important to regularly review your staff page. Check to see if you need to add new hire, remove old ones, and update bios and headshots.

7) Correct Contact Info. Make sure your address, email, phone, and fax numbers are up to date. The last thing you want is a potential client trying to reach you and are getting a wrong number!

Add a link to your business on Google Maps too so people can find your business easily.

getsocial

8) Add Social Links. Place social media icons that click to your business channels prominently on the home page so prospects can connect with you that way.

Also be sure to put social sharing links on your blog so people can quickly and easily share your blog content with their social media followers.

9) Update the Look and Feel. Has your ideal target market or brand image changed since you last updated your website? Or perhaps it's time for a fresh new look that is more up to date?

I encounter many websites that look old and deserted. The immediate impression I get is that the business is either shut down or they don't care about the professional impression they are giving their visitors.

So if your website was built more than 3 or 4 years ago, the chances are good that it's time for a new, fresh look that positions your business in a better light.

10) Copywriting Update. It's important to review the content on your website. Is it too long? Is it truly compelling? Does it have proper calls to action? Is it really reflective of your brand message?

The text and images on your site are extremely important when trying to convert website visitors into paying customers.

It might be time to hire someone to take a look at the copywriting on your site and ensure it's giving the right message to the right people.

Edit Your Website Online

Just when you thought the hard part of designing and launching your website was done, you’ve come to realize that maintaining it can be just as equally challenging.

It’s this ongoing concern, and inevitable frustration, that leads many website owners to shell out a ton of cash in order for someone else to make the needed changes they need on their website.

What many website owners don’t know, or are beginning to discover, is that now, you can edit your website yourself, anytime you want, and from anywhere. All by using an online website editor.

But Why Should You Edit A Website Online?

  • It’s the easiest way to edit your website
  • You don’t have to download any software
  • You don’t need any training
  • You don’t need to learn any programming languages, or deal with any code

How Does It Work?

You wont believe it until you try it. And in most cases you can for free. It’s simple. What you get is a way to login to your website, decide what you want to have edited and make your changes directly to the site.

There’s also a little “Edit This Page” link you get, and you can stick it in your browsers tool bar. Anytime you need to make a change to your website, you simple click on that button.

No need to deal with any html code if you don’t want to. No need to download anything. You can make unlimited changes to your site, at anytime, from anywhere, and you don’t have to wait on anyone to get it done for you. You are in control.

Details, Details, Details

Imagine being able to, for the most part, be in full control of your website, without the hassle of refocusing on becoming a technology expert? That’s not why you launched your website, right?

Here are just a some examples of some of the most common changes people make when they edit their website online.

These are just some of the changes that are possible when you edit your website online.

Once you have made your changes, you can preview your changes, and then if all looks well, you click publish.

All of your changes are then live on your website!

What If You Make A Mistake?

Once website owners get past the ability to have such control over their website, the next question is often, is it safe? What is you make a change, and then realize you messed up, or simply want to revert back to an earlier version of your website?

You don’t have to worry. Even if you make a change you end up regretting, the online website editor saves earlier versions of your website, just in case you need to revert back to an earlier version.

You also have the ability to get in touch with a real web designer who can help you with any internet web related issues you run into.

So before, one had to depend fully on a web designer to build and manage their website. It was expensive, and sometimes frustrating and impractical to rely on someone else just to make the many changes a website owner is expected to make on a month to month basis.

Now the best of both worlds is available. You are able to have the control and edit your website online, but you also have the option to contact someone for help.

The question is how to create the best mobile app? This article highlights 6 useful ideas that will help you to go ahead with the same.
6 Useful Ideas for the creation of mobile applications

1. Idea – It is an essential factor of any mobile app. Implementation of great, but simple ideas helps in making life more convenient and easier. Besides, there are some strange app ideas like applications for social sharing of meals and others. So, you need to make sure that your app has some unique features that will bring a change to the mobile world. But, just a good idea is not sufficient. The idea needs to be implemented properly.

4. Free vs. paid apps – You can go ahead with a free application or can create an application where the customers have to make payment for its usage and regular update. It is a paid app, which best retains the attention of the users since the customers have to pay for the same at the time of the installation. Moreover, if the content is preferred by the users, there are high chances of them using it and they will also buy new applications from the very same developer. Coming to free applications, these have a number of downloads, but if the users fail to find something interesting about them, they may uninstall the app. What you can do is offer a free trial version for paid applications.

5. Usability – The application needs to be simple, understandable and convenient. The interface too has to be intuitive, clear and attractive so that your program is mastered by the user easily at the very first attempt. This will provide the user the satisfaction he/she desires.

6. Regular user’s support and updates – You need to update your firm’s
mobile application on a regular basis and offer qualitative support.
So, these are the 6 key ideas you need to keep in mind when creating a successful mobile app. Try them!

8 Reasons to Make Your Website Responsive

DON’T FORGET YOUR MOBILE CUSTOMERS

The era of mobile devices has already speeded up the time of desktop computers. More than a half of the Internet accesses are performed from the mobile devices. That means that users look for websites that are user-friendly and comfortable for viewing from the mobile devices. These are responsive sites, which adapt to smaller screens and do not make the experience of viewing worse. Unfortunately, not all websites have already gone responsive so here are the reasons why it is worth making it so.
1. Responsive designs adapt to multiple devices sizes
Modern mobile devices are of different sizes. These are watches with smaller screens, mobile phones, tablets and of course, computers. All of them show the same page in different ways if it is not responsive. That is quite uncomfortable as the page can be cut or show partially or have not full functionality. Responsive designs are adaptable to any size of the device and that contributes to the users’ experience and better profits.
2. Responsive sites improve SEO rankings
Not so long ago, Google began to punish websites that are not responsive. These sites are downranked by the system and it is a good encouragement for businesses to make their websites mobile-friendly. If to compare two similar websites one of which is responsive and the other is not, the first one will have higher SEO rankings than the second one.

3. Better user experience
Mobile searches have already overtaken desktop ones in 2015. Google punishment of the non-responsive websites has been explained by worse user experience. That means that each user’s satisfaction is important for modern search engines and platforms. Users don’t have to zoom in and scroll the websites each second to be able to grasp the whole content contained there. In addition, better users’ experience is important for bouncing sites, improved sales and improvement of the brand perception.
4. Take advantage of the mobile revolution
Today, a mobile phone is not something extraordinary as it used before. Almost every person in developed countries possesses a phone, so the results of the mobile revolution are obvious – these portable devices are an indispensable part of people’s lives and making use of them is our customary habit. That is why website responsiveness is vital for the world that has gone mobile.
5. Responsive Adapts to Future Devices
Technology does not stand in one place and each week, or even each day, we face new devices. It may seem that it is very difficult to keep up with constant changes but it is enough to make the website responsive and you will not follow behind the competitors. No matter what technology will arrive on our planet tomorrow, your content will be always available and user-friendly.

6. Easier management: one website to design, build, and update
Website administration is a painstaking task that requires time and knowledge. It is often met that companies have several websites that require regular management. Many of them have already made a tough mistake making both an ordinary and mobile website. Each of them should be managed and updated separately and it is twice more time-consuming. If you opt for responsiveness, it will be necessary to manage only one site irrespective how many users have visited your website. That is also lower expenses and better user experience too.
7. Can Increase Conversion Rates
It is important to mention that conversion rates are also improved by the responsive design. Inability to convert results in lower sales and more challenges for users. A necessity to make conversions prevents users from visiting the website and that means lower ranking and decreased income. Responsive design also helps to analyze the behavior of all users and discover more effective tactics and strategies. That is also useful for higher conversion rates.
8. Recommended By Google
Website responsiveness is Google’s recommendation for mobile web design. Modern mobile phones have a separate Google search algorithm so there is a difference of ranking websites shown on the screen of a mobile device and desktop computer. As a result, websites should consider this advice to have better Google results.
Naturally, the main task of each website is to attract more visitors. No matter if it is e-commerce or a literary blog, in any case, the number of users influence website popularity, profits, and development. Site responsiveness is a great contribution to the increase of users’ number. It makes the online experience more comfortable and productive.
